Soaking up in La Mer 🌊

Bonjour! It’s Friday, I’m in love. This is my mantra every Friday. Yay! Plus, this is the time of the week that I diligently try to blog journal (it sounds so timely as it’s part of self care 😉) . My thought for the day, don’t ever be complacent. Side story. I’m journaling today (hah) with my uncurled hair (curls run the world) while fixing a broken heart (hah drama). With my OCD tendencies and quirkiness, it seems universe decided to just throw lemons my way as my day is spiraling downhill. 🤦‍♀️ Maybe because I was lazy since it’s my day off and I deviated on my morning routine … didn’t meditation, exercise, keto coffee, etc. Oh well, I need to turn this around, follow me on IG @chicsassymom and see how I end my Friday. Baby step is to just write and think happy thoughts. So today, let’s do more skincare post with La Mer.

For a skincare addict, I’ve tried my hardest to delay soaking up in La Mer. Yes, it’s very exquisite and a coveted brand, but then it’s pricey and also because I know myself, I tend to commit and get fixated at brands. Truly, I caved in and bought a gift set at Nordstrom, since I was after the Regenerating Serum and Crème de la Mer, which I sampled and oui, indeed, they’re great!

I’m so easy to get! So I made an additional purchase with La Mer The Radiant SkinTint Broad Spectrum with SPF $95, just so I can get another gift with purchase that comes with a pouch and more samples. Before I got so addicted to Korean Skincare, I met La Mer, first. It’s so luxurious and so aspirational, so French, and its Miracle Broth™ attribution, sounds tres bien! La Mer means the Sea. read about its brand story here. But I daresay, I’ve been vain a skincare addict since birth, hah, so I devote time and I budget for getting the best age/budget appropriate skincare available for me. Falling in love with almost everything Korean, thanks to my addiction to Korean drama, I followed sacredly the skincare routine. But life happens, for someone who does selfie every so often 😅, my crow’s feet are bothering me. It’s time to check it off my bucket, so I splurged on the La Mer Eye Concentrate with its coveted eye treatment applicator.

So, the most important question…is La Mer worth its hype and price tag? Hmmm, the Eye Concentrate, for sure! 100%. I see the difference in my pictures. The rest, oh my what to do, they’re slowly making it to my skincare routine…I use the serum, the Creme de la Mer and Moisturizing Soft Cream, and the Renewal Oil, and if I let this continue to prevail, it will cost me, literally. So my chic & sassy tips, prioritize and be smart shopper. Take advantage on promotions, gift with purchase, because samples are life! How I plan to do it, I’m due for a refill of the Eye Concentrate in a month or so. I’ll time my purchase when there’s a good promotion. After the SkinTint, I’ll try out another La Mer Skin color line, maybe another tinted sunscreen or foundation. Oh my, until my next La Mer love affair… c’est magnifique! ❤️
