I’m a SAHM (Updated)

I am Chic & Sassy Mom! 🙋🏼‍♀️

Ten years ago (2010), Angeles City, Philippines

I took a break from my corporate employment and focused on being a full time homemaker. I want to celebrate it! I want to cherish while it lasted just in case I decide to again pursue corporate employment in the near future. This experience enables mo so much time to reflect…and on those moments that I can, I want to think aloud. I have so many things in my mind that I don’t think my status update in Facebook would take them all in and so I’m starting this site.

Well, for a “newbie” like myself, I don’t think that it’s a walk in the park. Contrary to what others would say, I still do care about days and holidays, because I also welcome breaks when my son, Chase, doesn’t have to wake up early to school, so he can sleep as much as he wants to.

Everyday for me is an adventure of trial and error of learning how to instill discipline, study habits, eating habits, etc. Deciding which just right attention without being overprotective, or boring, or a “party pooper” at some time while making sure he gets just the right slack. The challenge of having a greater weight in molding one’s son is there! Who said there is no pressure in this!

I wrote an article on the Rewards of Becoming a Stay at Home Mom on Smart Parenting Online. It’s my favorite.

And so my adventure begins…

The phrase “working mother” is redundant.
Jane Sellman

The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. She never existed before. The woman existed, but the mother, never. A mother is something absolutely new.
