Review: Tide to Go Instant Stain Remover for Longchamp

Here’s a belated review for Tide to Go Instant Stain Remover. I bought these at Target from our last US trip.

I bought a 3-Pack Tide To Go Stain Pens. I keep one at home, and one with me all the time. #BecauseIamClumsy ^_^ I gifted one to a friend.

Product Description: Save the moment with Tide to Go, the instant stain remover that helps eliminate some of your toughest fresh food and drink stains. Best of all, Tide to Go travels easily to stop stains on the spot.

I stained my bag with the ink from a stamp pad. Because it’s left opened! And yes, I tend to be clumsy! #Sadness

How it works

1. Remove excess residue from the stain.

2. Press the tip onto the stain several times to release some stain remover solution onto the stain.

3. Rub tip gently across the stain to remove it. When necessary, add more liquid and continue rubbing gently.

4. Important: If treated area will be exposed to direct sunlight, wipe with a damp cloth or napkin to remove excess solution left on fabric. For tough stains, place a paper towel under the stain while treating or wipe excess liquid or residue away with a damp paper towel, or reapply as necessary.

Before (already tried removing some at the office, that’s what’s left when I got home). After. Photo taken with flash.

I used the Tide to Go on quite several occasions already both my and my son’s mishaps. Most recent was when my hair dye accidentally went to the white part our our black and white carpet. It’s red hair dye,  and still Tide delivered. But to be sure that it will not discolor, I tested it on a small bottom portion of my Red Longchamp Planètes. It worked fine. So I braved using it all over. #Success

Thank goodness for Tide! #Nice ^_^

Chic and Sassy Tips: Please take note on Important Reminder No. 4 mentioned above, to avoid or to minimize uneven water marks, I used a damp cloth to remove excess solutions. Also, I noticed that to avoid watermarks when cleaning the Longchamp, you have to make sure it dries evenly. I don’t recommend hair dryer since it tends to concentrate drying by portion. So it’s either electric fan dry it, or leave it at an air conditioned area (mine was at my car on my first attempt).

So yes, it truly works…this small wonder does deliver big feats! It saved my ever beloved Red Bag! ^_^ Cheers!

  1. Hi there, I've tried cleaning a stain on my red long champ le pliage and the watermark is there albeit me airing it in my room. What can I do? Please advise! Thanks!

  2. Hi! I couldn't say that I'm an expert, but my take, from my experience, is to get the area to dry at the same time. And make sure you wipe it clean, evenly, so there's no stains left.
