It’s a pleasure to be part of the momentous celebration of King Chef Seafood Restaurant of Lucky Chinatown located in the heart of Manila Chinatown, Binondo. Last June 8, King Chef celebrated its 1st Year Anniversary. Much like a first birthday Chinese tradition, it was commemorated with an auspicious fanfare with its signature sumptuous food offering fit for a royalty.

Elegant Table Setting |
Let’s feast! And the royal dining experience begins…

Row 1, L-R: Assorted Cold Cuts Combination, Dumplings on Seafood Spinach Soup, Deep Fried Suahe with Salted Egg. Row 2, L-R: Stir Fried Kung Pao Chicken, Fried Spareribs with Eight Spices, Stuffed Eggplant in Japanese Sauce. Row 3, L-R: Fried King Fish in Mango Sauce, Typhoon Shelter Crabs, Birthday Noodles |
The culinary feasting started with the parade of the waiters. It’s such a delight to feel the impeccable customer service of King Chef. It’s also a heartwarming treat to hear, and then to actually experience firsthand from the people of King Chef of just how much TLC (Tender Loving Care ^_^) that each and every one of them put in their roles (from the owners, to the chef, down to the waiters). The commitment to delight their customers is commendable. As for this event, personally, it was one of the most lavish and flavorful Chinese sit down meal we had. My personal favorites are the Deep Fried Suahe with Salted Egg, the Fried Spareribs with Eight Spices, and the Typhoon Shelter Crabs. As expected, a Chinese feasting starts with a dish served first, then one dish to another served in intervals. Pacing is a key. ;-D So it was quite a nice way to bond. In between dishes, guests were entertained with games, intermission numbers, and celebratory speeches.
