Sometime ago I was sent a Novuhair 3-in-1 Pack. I was looking forward to the experience. After my Tangled-inspired hair style, it’s all long hair for me. I’d like to keep it a considerable length that allows me to do ombre, curls, high and big bun a la beauty queen etc. at my whim.  My hair is battered. Hah. But I do my share of caring for it with a lot of conditioner and treatment. I’m not ready to cut it short. Downside, there are days that my falling hair are on the high side of the average 30-50 strands per day. (There are days that I’m tempted to count, but I’m always running late. Haha!) That and thinning hair gene on my mom’s side of the family, I’m sold to testing out Novuhair.

Shampoo, Conditioner and Scalp Lotion. Scalp Lotion comes with a spray nozzle. Shampoo and Conditioner smell minty. The scalp lotion comes with a strong, herbal scent. It’s not spa-ish. It’s more of medicinal kind of herbal scent. But it dissipates after a while.
As  recommended, for potency and efficacy, use all three together…Lotion, shampoo and conditioner. It is recommended that you shampoo, then lotion, either to leave on or to rinse off. Personally, I don’t think I can leave it on given the scent and the staining. I apply the scalp lotion in the shower area, then I massage it for as long as I can, rinse-off, then it’s conditioner. Keyword is massage.

For my first week, I used everything diligently, except I needed to add another conditioner at my hair ends because of the tangles. With the hustle and bustle of my weekdays, I can only apply the scalp lotion in the morning. On weekends, I use it twice and leave it longer, then rinse off. No leave on for me.

First week, there were still bothersome hair fall. On my second week, I have to skimp on the conditioner because I can easily finish off in a week’s time. Plus my hair still gets tangled. So I used it alternately, same with the shampoo. The scalp lotion, I still use diligently.

The beauty of it all, my hair appears thicker and fuller, and yes, lesser hair fall. #SoNice

About the tangles, just las week, I started using a shampoo and conditioner that promises sheer volume with its collagen-plumping effect. Same thing, hair feels tangled and hard. But once you get through the combing and detangling part, when it dries, truly, you get that thicker and fuller hair do, without special hair styling. When I’m rushing, which is most of time, I don’t even get to blow dry, but with air drying alone, you already get that voluptuous kind of hair.

With than, I reckon, the tangling and hard part are truly the realized strengthening benefit of the Anti-Hair Loss hair care system of Novuhair.  It keeps hair less brittle, vibrant, so it doesn’t break or fall.

Chic & Sassy Tips: Given my hair situation (long, colored, battered treated hair with high daily average hair fall), what will be workable for me is to enjoy a pack or Scalp Lotion, and use it as a supplement. It’s always better to be on the side of caution. But if you’re really in that situation of hair thinning and receding, like my mom, with a pixie short hair do, a pack is something that will last a while, enough time to truly enjoy the benefits. My mom stayed with us for some time and I shared with her Novuhair. Novuhair is something she’s really liking now, and keen on buying.

Will I repurchase? My, if only it’s not so pricey. (It’s supposedly price friendlier vs getting a surgery). Although the Scalp Lotion is something more workable to indulge and to invest…the price of beauty. Hah. Cheers! ^_^

  6. Love the review! I heard a lot about Novu Hair and want to try it for myself too! Falling hair has always been my issue and I badly needed something to rescue me from baldness. Hihi

  10. Wow! Ngayon ko lang nabasa ng review ng Novu Hair sa blog mo. Thank you. Now I know that the lotion is for keeps pla. Pwede kaya lotion lng? do u have idea kung mgkno ito? I have brittle, fine, wavy hair.

  11. Just got to read this review of yours. Impressive it is of Novuhair! I also do have falling hair even if it's minimal and at normal still need to take care of my crown. I will look into this.Need to save for this one though!

  12. Hello allI am in usa and one of our friends from phillipines recommended this product for alopecia. I have been using last 6. Months and no effect. Dont see any difference from before and after using the product. This is verry expensive product costs 100 US dollars a bottle.Not sure if any has really used the product and see the difference.. you can contact fior further details

  15. i purchased a bottle to try the product, cuz i have thinning hair. have heard that it works….. one thing though, with the price that customers pay for 2900 per 200 bottle, its just fair to have a better dispenser. i lose my temper every time i spray it on. i hope this reaches the manufacturers. the good product doesn't deserve a lousy spray bottle.Estela
