If you’re going to San Francisco, be sure to buy cheese tart on your way home.

I love San Francisco. I look forward to my SF work days. I usually take the Powell Station (best malls ever 😉), everywhere else is just an Uber ride away. One fine San Francisco day, on my way to the BART Station, I saw a long line. Curious. Oh my, freshly baked cheese tart!

I had the fondest memory of eating cheese tart in Japan…oh how I miss Japan. I chanced upon Pablo Cheese Tart last time because there was also a long line for it just outside of the subway station. Tale as old as time, I can be naturally inquisitive 🙊, so I ended up queuing just the same. Best decision.

Best view. I’m getting nearer the counter. It’s my turn soon, finally. Hmmmm, so will I get Strawberry Cheese Tart or Original?

People are just naturally curious, just like me. So the line keeps getting longer. It’s endearing how the regular buyers talk of the tarts fondly, soooo now I was more compelled to just keep staying in line.

Bake Cheese Tart are truly to BART line for. 😋I bought a box of 6 for $20+, usually it’s $3.5+ a piece.

Apparently there are seasonal flavors, and I was lucky that the Strawberry cheese tart was not yet sold out. I’m not really a strawberry person so I opted to go for the original, but I was still able to buy one, I ate it right away before I took the BART home. It’s as nice, I should have gotten more Strawberry for my boys. Next time.

Oishi! They’re super good…perfect cream cheese frosting with a nice, sweet and crispy tart crust to boot that you cannot go without. Forget no carbs diet. Hah.

I’m such a fan of everything Japanese (and Korean) and I devour cheese, so these are really delightful treats. And these did not disappoint. JaFun. These are truly must-try, worth the BART-ride and the long line. Plus, there are many other things to buy do in the Westfield San Francisco Centre anyhow 😉, so there you go, definitely worth the trip. And if you must know these are Japanese Bake Cheese Tarts from Hokkaido and are already going places in Asia except for USA, just because this branch in San Francisco is the one and only branch in the whole USA. Awesome. Eat more cheese tarts. Cheese! ✌🏻
