Salumeria at San Francisco | #ChicSassyMomEats

Annyeong! Yay! TGIF! 🤗

There’s a new word I acquainted myself with from my line of work… Luncheon. From the industry I currently work for, having a luncheon meeting is such a coveted business opportunity. This is basically where business contacts and/or leads indulge me to take their precious time off  to join me for lunch. I would not have find this super nice place if weren’t for it…Salumeria.

Salumeria, San Francisco

Chef Thomas McNaughton and Ne Timeas Restaurant Group, present Salumeria, a deli and larder that marries the traditions of the old world with the food culture of San Francisco. Taking inspiration from the artfully crafted cured meats of Italy and integrating these recipes with local ingredients, Salumeria aims to showcase a selection of house-made salumi and prosciutto with a Northern California sensibility. With our daily lunch offerings as well as a curated selection of cheeses, oils, honeys, cookbooks and fresh made pasta. Our shop functions as both a brunch and lunch destination as well as an after work grocery stop.

To get to San Francisco from Fremont (where I live), I take the BART,  and I get off at Powell Station, because I like the stop (Westfield San Francisco Centre and it’s walking distance from the Union Square), then take the Uber. Though, it’s actually nearer if you take the 24th St. Mission, or take a MUNI, then walk. Oh well, Uber works for me.

I love the place. It’s so charming, it is set beautifully with the overall feel and vibe of San Francisco tourist district… classic, elegant, charming, and quaint. It’s a great time to play tourist. I’ve been told that’s it’s usually full so it was good planning to be there before lunch.

The place is a reminiscent of V. Sattui for me. Cheese for lunch? Why not? I can use a glass of wine, but I’m officially working. Hah.
