It is said to be a heart-healthy eating plan where it incorporates the basics of healthy eating β plus a splash of flavorful olive oil and perhaps a glass of red wine. It also features whole wheat and other grains, fruits, vegetables, and a certain amount of seafood, but low in meat and dairy products. Hmmmm π€ it’s amazing, how it just refers back to the usual healthy diet espoused and preached by my parents, and now I preach and nagΒ to my son about, minus the wine. π

The upside of going into this diet today, and hopefully committing to it, is we actually have an abundance of fruits and vegetables in California. It’s so easy to eat colors. Plus, we actually use Olive Oil in cooking anyhow. My difficulty will probably be eating less of red meat, which I can survive not eating for a year when I was on medical emergency last time. So yes. Maybe I can do this too. Minimizing sweets and desserts, hmmm, I can do that too. I hope. The serving of healthy carbohydrates via whole grains makes it realistic. People, I need rice and bread too. The difficulty of Mediterranean Diet personally for me is that there’s no recommended serving or calories. Plus, there’s no measurable committed weight loss like how Keto and Scarsdale diet do (albeit very drastic), where you can actually lose plus minus a pound per day. Going into Mediterranean diet will bring me back to the ever reliable of really living a healthy lifestyle and committing to it long term. Oh well, we’re creature of habit anyhow and I’ve been on diet forever. Will be updating this another weight-loss journey here and on IG (@chicsassymom). Follow me. Wish me luck. Let’s do this! Aja! Aja! Fighting! βπ»Β
