Review: Innisfree Jejubija Anti-Trouble BB Cream

Annyeong! I know, aigoo, this is such a belated review of my fave Innisfree skin care line’s BB Cream. And yes, I also am aware that the in thing now is CC Cream, but I haven’t moved on just yet. Let me just do this before I completely empty the tube.

Innisfree Jejubija Anti-Trouble BB Cream with Torreya Seed Oil and Madecassoside with SPF 35 PA++. Hmmm…Madecassoside is for known for its anti-aging properties. As always, BB Cream or Blemish Balm Cream, is a makeup wonder that has reinforced benefits of a skincare product, and replaces foundation.

Comes in a 30 ml pointy tube for easier dispensing. To note, I don’t really have a troubled skin, my skin type is on the combination, sensitive skin. It’s more of being on a preventive mode that I’m so into the Innisfree Jejubija Anti-Trouble skin care line. The line is my basic skin care regimen, but it works best by incorporating another intensive moisturizer or serum, leaning on the anti-aging line (collagen, firming, brightening, etc.). For that, I have the Innisfree Soybean Firming Serum and the Innisfree Green Tea Pure Serum (Innisfree-lovin’ fangirl much! ^_^). Anyhow, back to the BB Cream, it’s actually a gift from my sister. It was meant for her to use, she was liking it, but due to the hormonal changes brought about her pregnancy then, she had to let it go, as it was not suddenly working for her. I’m happy to have it. I have to make do with the light beige shade, luckily it fits. I’ve been using it for quite sometime now. Before, I used it alternately with Innisfree Melting Foundation, which I’m now out of that. So now, it’s it, and other brands that I’m trying out.

There’s a tricky application required. It’s best to work on a well-moisturized skin, so for a dry or combination skin type, it’s better to use a primer, or a base. The premise of the Innisfree BB Cream is to manage oil, so it has a matte finish. Basically, if you have a dry skin, if not properly blended, will show some flaking, or caking. The formula is also thicker than usual, and but gets absorbed real fast, so you actually have to use a lot than usual for you to blend it out beautifully, I use a BeautyBlender. A new trick I learned recently is instead of directly dispensing the formula to your face, you can actually put it in your palm, swirl the sponge around it, like mixing it. The contact with your body temp will actually soften and melts the formula, and will work for easier blending.

Overall, this is recommended for oily, combination, and sensitive skin type. For dry skin, I reckon you need a good, intensive moisturizer, and good primer to get a good finish. I didn’t notice oxidation, nor did it turn ashy sometime after. It works for me, it’s actually a safe choice. Will I repurchase? I might, but I chanced upon Shu Uemura’s The Lightbulb Foundation, so will hold my repurchase for the moment. But as I said, it’s a safe choice that covers mostly my needs of a good BB Cream, with a relatively affordable price to boot. Although, it will only come second to Innisfree’s Swirly Mineral Melting Foundation, which I like much, but I’m now out of it. Aww…absolutely must go to Seoul soon! ^_^ So pretty please Innisfree, come here, and please bring @ActorLeeMinHo along!
