FOTD + Review: The Body Shop Colourglide™ Shine Lip Color 04

Hello. Here’s the FOTD post for the recent blogger’s event I attended. I was running late, I’m not proud of it, but there’s a story behind that. So the fastest way was to dress a bit remarkably and go for a simple, au naturel makeup. Inspired to go match-y with SkinFood Choco Smoky Chic Brown-ish nail colors (so yes, this was why I was late…I went to the nail salon beforehand), I went to go for nudes. It’s a makeup I did 15 minutes max (again, I’m not too proud about it, lately, I love practicing creating more precise artful eye makeup). For a while now (see in the photo, it loses its pointy tip) , The Body Shop’s Colourglide™ Shine Lip Color, which comes out with shiny and sheer colors, is my go-to nude lippie. I like. ;-D

The Body Shop Colourglide™ Shine Lip Color 04 Lilac Whisper. It was part of the press kit from last time’s The Body Shop & Max’s Restaurant Mother’s Day event launch.
Product Description: These sheer lipsticks give a beautiful glaze of shine and color to lips.
Marula Oil as a key ingredient: Is a very effective moisturiser that also helps to condition the skin over time. Also provides essential fatty acids that help to repair the skin’s moisture barrier, thus helping to restore moisture, smoothness and suppleness.
Swatch. First off, I love the bullet-y packaging, it’s no frills, but comes out classy and sturdy. It also allows for a precision closure. The distinguishing packaging from the TBS Colourglide™Lip Color line, is the added pink champagne-y color on its metallic packing. When swatched, it appears shiny, and with leaves a hint of color. So this is actually a perfect color for a coveted pinkish natural lip color. It glides on effortlessly, and leaves a velvety shiny finish.

With hair down. Since I was rushing, for my hair I did a classic ponytail, lavishly spritz on Pantene ProV  Restorative Anti-Humidity Hair Spray (Love it much! ) See how bouncy and natural it held my hair even after a pony.
The eye makeup actually looks more pronounced with Instagram . ;-D Naturally, I had to include an Instagram photo documentation. ;-D

Overall, the TBS Colourglide™ Shine Lip Color is lightweight, non-drying/chapping lip color product. It’s the go between a lip gloss, because of the dewy shine finish, and a sheer color shades of a lipstick. And the there’s the reinforced moisturizing and nourishing benefits of Marula Oil. The boldest and brightest shade from this line might just be the Pink Flash (03), that’s it. The rest are subtle shades pinks, nudes, and coral. I’m actually interested to try Cheeky Coral (01), and perhaps more shades from The Body Shop  Colourglide™ Lip Color line, which promises long-lasting, intense color coverage while helping to condition the lips. So yes, I’m definitely looking forward to checking out makeup from The Body Shop, come to think of it, until much recently, with my over-the-top Korean Cosmetic addiction *LoL, TBS used to be one of my go-to makeup and skincare brand. It’s high time, considering I’m more in tune with my recently enhanced makeup skills (c/o MUD-Manila), I’ll do some shopping a second look to The Body Shop’s makeup lines to incorporate a piece or two for my upcoming FOTD’s. Cheers! ;-D
