Christmas Shoes

I’m wishing everyone a very merry Christmas. πŸ˜€ Last night, we attended the Christmas Eve Mass at The Grand Palazzo’s Christ the King Chapel. I love love love the choir. For the communion song, they did The Christmas Shoes. Truth be told, this is something I’m not really well-versed with. But while listening, and reading through the lyrics, I had a heartwarming feel. And felt a bit guilty. I’m actually a bit feeling a very bit guilty even a while back. I love shoes. I’m addicted toΒ FitFlopβ„’Β even.Β Few weeks ago, FitFlopβ„’ Philippines did a giveaway. I read several heartwarming entries about wanting to win a pair for a loved one. Oh my, I don’t want to sound condescending, but after reading through those, and the recent disheartening events in our country, I felt an Ouch! My, my someone has been being too materialistic and superficial lately,Β it’s not just the shoes per se, it’s the bits and pieces of it… 😦

Okay, no sad thoughts for today. Moving ahead, here’s a line from the The Christmas Shoes.

♬ I knew I caught a glimpse of heaven’s love as he thanked me and ran out,Β I know that god has sent that little boy to remind me what Christmas is all about. ♬

My take, Christmas is all about… celebrating love in the family, sharing, about counting our blessings. Celebrate Christmas everyday. ;-D

Here’s a video of Noelle Cassandra’s rendition of The Christmas Shoes.

A novel, and tv movie of the same title were inspired because of the hit song. ;-D

I’m wishing everyone a very Happy and Blessed Christmas! Let everyday be Christmas timeΒ …easier said than done, too idealistic even, but with a fervent heart, we can do this! πŸ˜€
