Review: SkinFood Seaweed Waterproof Point Makeup Remover

Whew…that was a long title! ;-D Anyhow, I’m back to for another review of SkinFood. Not to preempt, but I mentioned in passing about how mighty good the product is here. Still, on with the post. πŸ˜€

One pack contains two patches. I bought it on eBay for Php 20/pack.Β
It was love at first try! I’m wowed, so I got almost the whole box. I bought 8 packs in total.Β
Product Description: The seaweed extracts based make up removal wipes remove the waterproof makeup effortlessly, leaving skin feeling smooth and moisturized.Β
Ingredients. It’s an oil-based makeup remover.Β
I’m using a waterproof mascara, which proves to be bothersome (to the highest level) to remove, albeit remains to be my favorite. One pack will cover both eyes, as I use one patch each. But with this mascara, it will definitely take more than 20 seconds to remove everything. Patience is a virtue! Gently patch, leave, soak (sort of), swipe, and repeat. I have to do it several times.Β
Eeew. Tada! It takes one patch per eye to remove everything. Not several cotton pads, as how I usually do it when using other cleansing oils.Β

Loves:

  • No sting.
  • No irritations.
  • Best Love…No cloudy vision!
  • It’s not really effortlessly per se, but it does remove waterproof makeup.Β
Drawbacks:Β
  • None, that I can think of. Except maybe I’m not sure of the stock availability at the price point that I’ll still be willing to pay for it. Php 20 per pack is a luxury I don’t mind paying for, since I rarely go all out with my eye makeup anyway. I’ll have to check the local store price for it.Β
Overall, this will be my foremost go-to product when removing famed waterproof eye makeup. ;-D Β How about yours? Please do share. ;-D

  1. I use baby oil, sis. I tend to go overboard kasi when removing make up since I really don't like the feel of it on my skin. I follow that up with a normal facial wash. =)

  2. I recommend you try smudge proof, streak proof mascara like Lancome. The best thing about it – it that when you cry, sweat or get rained on – it will not streak and give you racoon eyes. – it comes off easily with non-soap cleansers (I don't recommend soap for face) and water when you need to get rid of itWhat's the benefit of this? you don't need to do the tedious work of removing waterproof makeup which in the long term will cause wrinkling in the eye area because the skin around the eyes are really thin and sensitive. And you wont need to spend on makeup removers like this. All you need is an emollient like cetaphil to melt away makeup.Try Lancome mascara (not the waterproof one) and let me know how it goes!
