SkinFood All About The Eye…Sweet Almond, Black Bean, Pearl Creamy

As always, the SkinFood cherubs kept calling again. ;-D I had these for quite some time, and I used them for most of my photos on my previous posts. But then again, I love one, and the others, I *heart* them not. ✌

This one I love! SkinFood Sweet Almond Eyeliner Black contains almond oil gentle enough for sensitive eye areas. ;-DΒ
The SkinFood Sweet Almond Liquid Eyeliner comes with a Wand type Applicator, which I love because if I just learn to steady my hand while applying it, I can make my lines really thin, or make them a little bit thicker, by slanting the wand.Β
My progress as I learned to get the hang of using it. Sadly, I don’t really have a steady and precise grip yet, so I tend to do some erasing. Thankfully, I can easily redo and get rid of the smears by using a wet(water alone) cotton swab. But once, it dries, it’s not so hard to remove too, ordinary facial cleanser will do. I noticed that the mascara is the hardest to remove.

On a different note, last time, I was able to check out the Β Diorshow Iconic Mascara by Christian Dior, which Sarah VictorΒ often raves about. I’m wearing it on my last photo. I love the lengths, the curls, and the definition. It sells for P1900 in Rustan’s. I’m saving for it. πŸ˜€

Going back to the Sweet Almond, the third photo I was also wearing it the entire day, and it lasted me through several events. So as you can see it also has a good lasting power.

Overall, I’ll be happy to finish it. But, once, I’m halfway done with it, I’ll be trying out the SkinFood Eggplant Pen Eyeliner, promises more defined lines less smudging. In general, I think a felt type wand would be more easier for me since I’m still learning the ins and outs of using a liquid eyeliner. I think too many “erasing” on my part, irritates my eyes. I recommend it to the more experienced users, because, it gives you the flexibility to create really thin lines, which can evenΒ be used to the waterlines, because the tip, can really create fine lines. There’s also the versatility to it to draw more defined lines to get those dramatic cat’s or winged eyes.

SkinFood Black Bean Eye line Pencil and the Pearl Creamy Under Eye Pencil…These two, I’m not so happy!Β
SkinFood Pearl Creamy Under Eye Pencil (Silver), has creamy texture to be used for added sparkle, and safe for sensitive eye area.Β
SkinFood Black Bean Eyeline Pencil, comes with retractable pen, with smudger. The black bean has moisturizing properties.
Swatches. Smudge Test. Water Test.Β
After letting the water run on them (without soap), the Pearl Creamy Under Eye was invisible, the Black Bean Eye Pencil, showed little color, and undefined lines to begin with. The Sweet Almond Eyeliner, needed some rubbing effort to remove.Β
Getting dolled up for my Manila Event last Saturday.Β

Those duo (Black Bean and Pearl Creamy), which I used to line my under eyes, can do their share of prettifying for a while. But after a while, they’re barely there. I think Avon’s Glimmersticks Eye Pencil lasts longer and creates more defined lines. It’s even harder to remove. So yes, obviously, I’m not too happy. I can only think of their nutritive benefits, but on the aesthetic part, they’re sort of making me feel sad.

To get that look, I used the following…
Face: The Skin Shop Recovery Solution Cream and The Skin Shop Premium BB Cream
Eyes: SkinFood Trio (Sweet Almond, Black Bean, Pearl Creamy), Β Estee Lauder Palette
Cheeks: TruCheeks Blush by Cover Girl
Lips: Kimora Lee Simmons Lip Gloss

  1. I noticed that you're a skin food addict! πŸ™‚ Does the liner comes in brown too? I love eyeliners, can't leave home without wearing one πŸ™‚ btw, you may want to try using gel liners for practice…once you get used to it I am sure you'll have a steady hand when you apply liquid liners πŸ™‚
