Jang Ga Nae Korean Restaurant formerly Minato

Annyeong haseyo! ✌ I’m back for another hallyu lovin’ adventure, and it’s truly close to my ❤ — all about my favorite Korean Restaurant!

Welcome to Minato… Mas-issge deuseyo! Bon Appetit!♨

Korean Bean Paste (Doenjang) , Garlic,  Complimentary Jjigae (Korean Stew/Soup)
Minato Korean and Japanese Restaurant

I love my Korean dish hot, sweet & spicy…and what really makes or brakes my ultimate Korean Dining adventure are the SIDE DISHES… as in a bountiful of them, in plural form! 🙂 Minato offers the best of them! 🙂

Unlimited Portions, Not Commercialized, Healthy & Tasty Side Dishes of Minato

I’ve been to several Korean Restaurants here and there, what’s truly lovable to Minato are the Side Dishes! Every meal turns into a feast with them!

Kudos to our Korean homemakers! …whew! I tried D.I.Y. (do it yourself) Korean meal, preparations of side dishes is really an effort! Every Korean meal is really stamped with tender loving care with all the energy of putting up as many side dishes in the table with every meal! Minato sure feels like home to me! ❤

My favorite side dish is their Kimchi Pancake…healthy & best of all, it’s complimentary! 🙂

I have 2 favorite Korean Main Dishes, and they’re actually must have…anything other than those are just add-ons and for cultural enrichment (haha 🙂

  • Samgyeopsal (Grilled Pork Belly Strip…best dipped in sesame oil, salt, pepper, doenjang, grilled garlic and wrap in Lettuce!)
  • Galbijjim (Braised Beef Short Ribs) – my son’s favorite 🙂 because of it’s sweet sauce and soft meat, the egg topping is a healthy add-on!
Samgyeopsal (Doenjang, Sesame Oil, Salt & Pepper Dip, Grilled Onions & Garlic, Lettuce + Mix Greens) Php 240 ++

Galbijjim (served with one order of Rice) Php 300 ++

What makes it all the more a happy dining experience is the friendliness of the staff in the restaurant. They actually need little prodding to refill your side dishes just in case you wanted to have more.
P.S. They give you a fruit dessert too! 🙂
My family have been going to Minato for years now. We’ve also introduced a dozen family and friends to this Korean Meal experience, and they’ve been going back to the resto since then. 🙂
A treat to Minato is my ultimate perk me up meal. My happiness after my meal could be comparable to that of having a hour trip to the spa….haha :-)…if I were to choose between a Korean Meal at Minato and a trip to the spa, I would actually have to think real hard! 🙂
Happy Dining! Cheers! 🙂

Jang Ga Nae (formerly Minato Japanese & Korean Restaurant) is located at 8137 Plaza‎. St. Josemaria Escriva Drive. San Antonio, Pasig, National Capital Region, Philippines.
